The House Professor is the Dean and leader of the House community and provides intellectual and social direction for the House. The House Professor-Dean works in close partnership with the Assistant Dean, graduate and undergraduate staff, Active Citizens, House Fellows, and the Keeton Collective to maintain the welfare of the House community and the well-being of its individual members.

C. Lindsay Anderson is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering. Lindsay teaches and conducts research in sustainable energy and the environment, particularly in integrating renewable and distributed resources into electric power grids. Her work has been funded by the US National Science Foundation, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, the US Department of Energy, and the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability, among others. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario and a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph in Canada. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys reading science fiction, being active, knitting the occasional hat, and spending time with her family near water.
