She earned her undergraduate degree in Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master’s in College Student Personnel (Higher Education) from Western Illinois University.

At her core, Kay is dedicated to creating supportive, connected communities where students feel free to be themselves. She’s passionate about fostering spaces that encourage belonging and authenticity, helping students build meaningful relationships and thrive in every area of their lives.

She takes a holistic approach to working with students, guided by her commitment to equity, access, and inclusion—values that are central to everything she does. Outside of work, Kay loves anything creative—whether it’s jewelry making, taking random art classes, or building elaborate forts with her nieces. You’ll also find her hiking in the woods, facilitating ropes courses, playing board games with friends, or spending time with her partner and their cat, Gato.
