Aaron King
House Assistant Dean
145 Keeton House
607-255-3401

Aaron brings a decade and a half of experience supporting a range of college residential learning communities. Prior to Cornell Big Red, his academic and professional journey has been filled with many other colors (i.e., NYU Violets, Stanford Cardinal, & Harvard Crimson) and animals, including a full Wizard of Oz journey (i.e., Mount Holyoke Lyons, Princeton Tigers, & Central Arkansas Bears) – oh my! He holds an Ed.M. in Human Development and Psychology, an M.A. in Higher Education Administration, and a B.S. in Psychology.

His broad research and professional interests are at the intersections of psychology and higher education, including identity development (multiracial and transracial adoptee experiences), intergroup dialogue, college access & belonging, and currently, identity disclosures. Other experiences have included driving tractors and hauling hay in Arkansas, running road 5Ks to 100 mile trail ultramarathons, and making flaming onion volcanoes as a teppanyaki (aka hibachi) chef.

Outside of the office, you might catch him cheering on Big Red, playing basketball, coaching youth basketball, attending a lecture, running throughout the Finger Lakes area, thrift shopping like a pro, or most likely with his spouse and two young daughters in Keeton House or around the Cornell campus.

Aaron looks forward to meeting and hearing more about your story and aspirations!
